Ford’s Theater and Petersen House
Relive Lincoln’s last night at the theater where he was shot and killed just days after the Civil War ended. Then step across the street to the Petersen house, where the president spent his final hours. You will learn about the life and death of this great man, and his impact on our nation.
Mount Vernon
Enjoy a trip to George Washington’s country estate, where you will see the home and farm of this humble leader, as well as a museum dedicated to his life.
DAY 2 -
United States Capitol
Take a tour of this iconic structure, which is home to both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Library of Congress
This ornate building houses one of the largest collections of books in the world. Its richly decorated ceilings are a monument to learning and great thinkers of the past.
National Archives
Carefully preserved, you will see the actual documents which led to the founding of our nation.
Monuments and Memorials Tour
On this walking tour you will visit some of the most famous sites in Washington DC, such as the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Wall, Korean War and WWII Memorials, and the new monument to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
